Egypt lead Kobs at halftime | CAF U-23 Qualifiers


HT: Uganda Kobs 0-1 Egypt (Agg: 0-5)

Mahmoud Abdelmonem’s strike separates Egypt and Uganda Kobs after the first half of the return leg of the CAF U-23 Championship qualifiers.

The forward capitalized on Uganda Kobs mistake in the midfield to strike Egypt into the lead with a composed finish on 11 minutes.

Kezironi Kizito lost the ball in the center and Egypt went on a break. Mohamed Salem headed down for Abdelmonem who easily beat advancing Salim Jamal from 17 yards.

Yunus Sentamu had Uganda’s best chance for the equaliser but shot at the keeper who looked beaten. The striker also shot over the bar from out the box as the half expired.
