ARS Chief scout appointed She Makerere Women Football Club head coach


She Makerere women football club has appointed Hadijah ‘Lady Mourinho’ Namuyanja as their new head coach.

Namuyanja’s employment contract spells a one year time lag.

The CAF A certified coach expresses her willingness to coach the club ahead of the 2016/17 Women Elite League;

I am glad to take over Makerere University women football club as head coach.

I will use my expertise to teach and impart the basics of the game to the players first as we work towards building a formidable side, one that will be willing to compete and post positive results as well.

Namuyanja has previously worked as one of the chief scouts for the Airtel Rising Stars (ARS) U-17 tournament (under the girls catergory).

Last Thursday, Namuyanja tasted the She Makerere technical bench with a warm game against Mutesa 1 Royal University.

The friendly match played at Makerere University play ground ended one goal apiece.

She Makerere was drawn in the Victoria group with Wakiso Hill S.S, Gafford Ladies, She Corporate, Ajax Queens Bulenga, Eastern Heroes and Olila S.S.

The eighth club will be determined after a play off game between Uganda Martyrs’ Rubaga and King James from Lira.

The Elizabeth group has London College, Riness S.S, Buikwe She Red Stars, UCU Lady Cardinals, Mutesa 1 Royal University, Western United and the league defending champions, Kawempe Muslim Secondary school.

The league will new season will commence on the 4th and 5th November 2016 at various venues when the fixtures have been drawn.
