FUFA Big League: Wednesday, 19th April 2017:
- Artland Katale Vs Paidha Black Angels – Kamuli Park Municipal stadium (4:30 p.m)
- Water Vs Kataka – Kyambogo West End playground (4:30 p.m)
Relegation fighting Kataka Football Club will face Water in the FUFA Big League on Wednesday, 19th April 2017.
The Mbale based side is currently 9th with 22 points from 20 games requires only three points out of their remaining three matches if they are to survive the relegation slip down.
On the other hand, Water is currently 6th with 28 points and has no chance of making it to the playoff slots neither being relegated.
West Nile based side Paidha Black Angels shall be away to Artland-Katale Kamuli Park in Kamuli in the other fixture lined up.
Paidha Black Angels is currently in 5th place with 31 points, five ahead of 7th Artland-Katale who have 26 points.
The West Nile side required two victories in their remaining games and pray that Kira United (36 points) and Busia Fisheries (34 points) both falter in their respective last matches will see Paidha Black Angels join Ndejje University or Maroons for the playoff slots.
Key players for Artland – Katale include; Michael Ssekirya, Saddam Kazindula, Rajab Waiswa, Godfrey Kalende, Peter Musoke, Nasser Kigenyi and goalkeeper Aziz Omony.
Playoffs shall start on the 4th May 2017 with the first runners of Elgon Group taking on the second runners in Rwenzori group for the opening game.
In the second game, the 1st runners up of Rwenzori versus second runners up in Elgon group.
Both the main promotional final and last match of the FUFA Big League (Masavu, winner of Rwenzori Group and winner of Elgon Group) will be held on Sunday, 7th May 2017 at the Mutesa II Wankulukuku stadium.
