Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) football club registered a 3-2 home victory against Express during the first leg of the Uganda Cup semi-finals on Friday evening at the Philip Omondi stadium, Lugogo.

Tom Masiko opened the scoring charts with a wonderfully curled free-kick near the edge of the 18 yard goal mark following Farouk Matovu’s foul on Geofrey Sserunkuma.

Sserunkuma then converted a penalty three minutes into the second half after a foul on Masiko inside the goal area.

Express pulled a goal back through Simon Sserunkuma in the 59th minute but it was quickly neutralized by another Geofrey Sserunkuma goal following spade work from partner in crime, Derrick Nsibambi.

Sserunkuma crossed for Allan Kyambadde as the 2014 footballer of the year made  it 3-2.

KCCA’s Isaac Muleme as well as Express’ Sam Senkoomi and Allan Kyambadde were cautioned for non-sporting conduct.

The return leg will be hosted at the Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku this Tuesday.
