Uganda Cup 2016/17: KCCA to face Paidha Black Angels in final

KCCA Football Club drew goal-less with Express in the return leg of the FUFA Uganda Cup semi-finals at the Mutesa II Wankulukuku stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

The result was good enough to see Mike Mutebi’s managed side progress to the finals that will be staged at the Betway Green Light stadium in Arua.

KCCA thus advanced with a 3-2 aggregate victory from the first leg played four days ago at the Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo.

Vincent Kayizzi, Derrick Nsibambi and Geoffrey Sserunkuma all had chances to score for the visiting side on the day but missed their chances.

Express on the other hand had Noah Kasule, Simon Sserunkuma and second half substitute, Jean Dider were culprits for the Red Army who will end another season trophy-less.

KCCA’s Ivan ‘Kojja’ Ntege and Habib Kavuma were both booked for unsporting conduct during the course of the game.

KCCA now seeks a domestic double when they face Paidha Black Angels on 10th June 2017 in Arua.

Paidha Black Angels eliminated Sadolin 3-2 on aggregate.

KCCA has won the Uganda Cup 8 times and Paidha Black Angels seek for their maiden title.
