Hardworking midfielder Ivan Ntege has signed a two-year deal with reigning Botswana Premier League champions Township Rollers.
Ntege has been a free agent after being let go by 12-time Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC at the end of the 2016-17 season.
He was part of the ‘Popa Popa EA Ipopa’ contingent for the Maize Cup in South Africa. He also played in a number of training sessions and friendly matches, impressing the technical department with his famous wall pass, tackling efficiency and box to box mentality.
His agent, Musa Ssebulime is full of praise for him.
“Ivan Ntege’s transfer is a dream come true for many footballers who work their way to success. He loves the job and gives 110 percent when on the playing field. I am so happy for him,” Ssebulime stated.
The defensive midfield player with good passing ability, also possesses unrivaled work ethic.
Ntege won two Uganda Premier League titles and one Uganda Cup with KCCA Football Club. He also played in the CAF Champions and Confederation Cup with the Kasasiro.
He has earned 8 Uganda Cranes caps including CHAN 2014 tournament in South Africa where he featured against Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe and Morocco.
Ntege is expected to play in the club’s international friendly match against Kaizer Chiefs at the Francistown Sports Complex on Saturday.
