Azam FC to test against local during Uganda Camp

2015 CECAFA Kagame Cup winners, Azam Football Club have confirmed a training camp in Uganda ahead of the kickoff of the 2017-18 Tanzanian season.

This revelation was made Jaffar Iddi in a brief interview with Bin Zubeiry, saying the team will be in Uganda between August 6-15, 2017.

“Tentatively, our camp in Uganda will start on August 6 to 15,” said Jaffar.

He also revealed the club wants trial games against reigning Premier League champions KCCA, last year’s runners up SC Villa plus Vipers as well as URA.

“We are going on with the exercise of friendly matches and if all goes well, we intend to play against KCCA, SC Villa, Vipers and URA. We are in contact with them to get the dates for the matches.”

The Bakhresa Sponsored club, arguably one of the richest in the region last visited Uganda in December 2014 and then, they played friendly matches against URA and KCCA at Lugogo.

They are coached by former Al Masry and Raja Casablanca tactician Aristica Cioaba.
