Timothy Awany has landed an invite for trials at Premier Soccer League side Ajax Cape Town.
The KCCA FC and Uganda Cranes defender is expected to leave the country this week and if he does well, a deal will be in place to join the club.
Awany is one of the best upcoming centre backs in the country and was part of the Uganda Cranes squad that played at the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon early this year.
He becomes the third Ugandan to earn an invite to a PSL side for trials after Onduparaka’s duo of Muhammad Shaban and Rashid Toha who were invited by SuperSport United.
In case Awany makes the cut, he will join compatriot Denis Onyango at Mamelodi Sundowns in the same league.
