International build ups: SC Villa to play 2 Rwandese clubs

  • Mbale Heroes Vs SC Villa Jogoo – Mbale Municipal Stadium, Mbale

Saturday, 2nd September 2017:

  • Rayon Sports Vs SC Villa Jogoo – Amahoro Stadium, Kigali

Tuesday, 5th September 2017:

  • APR Vs SC Villa Jogoo – Amahoro Stadium, Kigali

Record Uganda Premier League champions Sports Club Villa Jogoo (with 16 titles) will play two international build up matches in Rwanda earlier next month, the Chief Executive Officer, Vally Mugwanya has confirmed.

The Jogoos will first play the reigning champions Rayon Sports on 2nd September before taking on APR on Tuesday 5th September 2017.

Both matches will be held at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.

Mugwanya clarified;

We have confirmed the two international friendlies in Rwanda against Rayon Sports and APR both at Amahoro stadium

The Jogoos were invited by Rayon Sports who will also use the match as a plat form to launch new fans’ branches and unveil their new signings.

At the same time, the Jogoos have confirmed a domestic friendly match against regional side, Mbale Heroes at Mbale Municipal Stadium this Saturday.

All these build up matches are intended to fine tune Wasswa Bbosa’s led side ahead of the 2017-18 season.

New players are expected to be given a run in these matches as the technical team forges a working partnership, in preparation for the new season.

New signings as Allan Kyambadde, Nicholas Kasozi, Solomon Okwalinga, Simon Sserunkuma, Musa Mukasa and George Senkaaba will be expected to feature in such build ups.

The old guard of players will join the frey for the perfect team bonding.

The Uganda Premier League secretariat on Wednesday evening released the draft of the fixures for the new season.

SC Villa will open up the campaign on 12th September 2017 with a home game against Soana at the Masaka Recreational stadium.
