Kenya international striker Michael Olunga is on the verge of joining Spanish La Liga new entrants Girona from China.
The centre forward is expected to join the Catalan side on a season long loan deal from Chinese Super League side, Guizhou Zhicheng.
According to Marca, Olunga’s representative was in Montilivi over the weekend as Girona battled Malaga with an intention to see the deal go through.
Coach Pablo Machin has already shown an intention to add a striker to his side before closure of the transfer window and the former Gor Mahia and Djurgårdens IF man is the target.
The 23-year-old has only played one season in Europe at the Swedish side and scored 12 goals in 27 appearances.
