All roads lead to Namboole where the Uganda Cranes host Ghana’s Black Stars in a must win clash if they are to remain in contention for a World Cup place.

Second in group E, two points behind Egypt, a win will put Uganda back on top for at least 24 hours before the Pharaohs host Congo Brazzaville in Alexandria.

Moses Basena says the team is very ready for the clash and says the boys are in top shape despite having two suspensions.

“We are in a strong shape,” he said. “Though we shall miss Aucho and Jjuuko but our strength has been a unit,” he added.

The UPDF Coach also cried foul over the state of the pitch at Namboole but says that won’t be a factor.

“The state of the pitch like you have seen ain’t good. But that can’t be an excuse and no matter what, we want to win and keep our dream.

Ghana comes without over eleven first team numbers but the former Coffee and SC Villa coach says they remain a strong side with much pedigree.

“We can’t underestimate them. They have been at the world cup and have the pedigree.

Kwesi Appiah, Ghana coach says they are here to play a good game against a good side.

“We are happy to have traveled well. We had a good training camp in Kenya and we are here to play well against Uganda.

Aucho Khalid and Murushid Jjuuko are suspended but the availability of Tonny Mawejje and Savio Kabugo gives the team able replacements.
