Masavu coach Alex Gitta has reiterated that the Uganda Premier League is like a marathon and his team may have started slowly but will get there.
Masavu have only got one win from five games – suffering successive losses to Soana (1-0), Vipers (2-0) and lately against Kirinya-Jinja S.S (1-0).
Gitta says its too early for haters to castigate his side.
The league is like a marathon. We have to play 30 games in the season and we have just played 5.
There are always slow starters and quick ones.
In a marathon, you find hills and valleys. I believe we shall play quick catch up.
The tactician says he there is a need of change nevertheless.
There is urgent need for change in playing style and commitment.
Against Kirinya Jinja S.S, we had a good game where we were able to create so many goal scoring opportunities but unfortunately failed to convert any of them.
On Tuesday, 24th October, they will return home against Maroons at Bugonga before visiting the champions KCCA at the Star Times stadium, Lugogo on 4th November.
