BUL, Onduparaka in score-less stalemate at Kakindu stadium

Uganda Premier League: BUL 0-0 Onduparaka

Action as BUL locked horns with Onduparaka FC in the Uganda Premier League

Jinja based club BUL and Arua’s Onduparaka settled for a goal-less draw during a match day 8 game of the Uganda Premier League at the Kakindu Stadium on Friday.

Onduparaka’s striker Sizza Samson Okhuti looked on in disbelief when he hit the cross bar from close range in the 27th minute. Okhuti had combined well with Alfred Leku with goalkeeper Paul Mujampawani beaten.

BUL also had their share of chances missed in the first half. Burly defender Musa Walangira had a headed effort kiss the woodwork following Hassan Musana’s curling corner from the left two minutes into the mandatory break.

Ten minutes into the second half , BUL skipper Patrick Asiku was replaced by Daniel Shabene. Five minutes later, Onduparaka left winger Viane Ssekajugo came in for midfielder Gadaffi Wahabu.

Former Uganda U-17 forward Ezra Bidda took Ceaser Okuhuti. Bidda proved a menace for the opposition with spirited display.

Onduparaka went down to third on the log, following Vipers’ 1-0 victory away to Mbarara City.

Both Vipers and Onduparaka have 15 points apiece.

BUL betters by a slot to 11th with 9 points, one place over URA who host Villa on Saturday at Namboole.
