Bright Stars ascended to fourth in the Uganda Premier League with a slim win over Bul on Tuesday at the Champions Stadium, Mwererwe.
Fred Kajoba’s men edged their visitors 1-0, with Farouk Banga separating the two sides with his 23rd minute header.
The win was Bright Stars’ second in a row at home having beaten URA in similar fashion two weeks ago and it was their third overall.
It was victory that elevated them up to fourth in the league dislodging reigning champions KCCA whose game against Proline was postponed due to their players’ involvement in the national team.
For Bul, the result meant they are still waiting for a league win away from home. The money bags have lost three of their four away games this season.
This loss keeps them glued at 13th position on the table with nine points collected from as many games.
