Brazilian midfielder Phillipe Coutinho has stated that he is fully fit to face England on Tuesday and that he is happy at Liverpool despite his failure to move to Barcelona in the summer.
The playmaker handed in his transfer request in August in an attempt to join the Catalan club but Liverpool through their owners Fenway Sports Group made it public that the 25-year-old was not for sale.
Having missed the start of the season due to a back injury, Coutinho has found his way back into Jurgen Klopp’s team, and is set play for Brazil against England on Tuesday.
“I’m playing in one of the biggest leagues in the world,” said the Brazilian. I’m always happy. But now it’s important to concentrate on the national team. At the moment I am very happy with my life.”
“Every day, I work harder than before to improve myself and become a better all-round footballer.”
Coutinho added that: “Unfortunately, I could not play for Liverpool in the past three games because of injury.
“Now I feel 100 percent fit, I have recovered and I am in a good shape to be available for the game against England.
“I never want to miss any Brazil games. I am honored to wear this shirt whenever I can.”
