Uganda Cranes star Milton Karisa has expressed delight after netting his first national team goal as the outfit settled for a 1-1 draw against Congo in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Sunday.
The Vipers forward salvaged a point after Congo had found the back of the net earlier on.
“I feel good because it’s not easy to get that chance and also get on the score sheet,” he told reporters. “It’s not always easy, the pressure, different environment, my first game on the senior team,” he added.
I thank God since he made me calm. I was calm and thank my teammates because we played as a team and got the point as a team.
The forward has so far netted four goals for his club and is currently rated one of the hottest properties in Ugandan football.
