Proline Football Club forward Daniel Isiagi Opolot is on trials with French League One club, F.C Nantes.
The midfielder traveled with his father Patrick Isiagi who has since returned after the son arrived safely in France.
The 21 year old midfielder has so far been training with the top flight club and played in training games with the reserve team, scoring once – the winner last week.
“He (Daniel) arrived well and acclimatized almost immediately. The training sessions have been progressing well. Let us keep our fingers crossed,” Isiagi senior told Airtel Football.
Isiagi had been summoned with the Uganda Cranes team as they prepared for the last Group E 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier away to Congo in Brazzaville city but he only trained with the side for three days.
Isiagi is expected to return home next week to resume domestic club duties with his parent club, Proline
The star was on the verge of moving to two top clubs in Sweden and Slovakia where he impressed the respective technical personnel but got locked out because the transfer window had closed.
