SC Villa president declares club unable to feature in CAF Confederations Cup

SC Villa president Ben Misagga has declared the club unable to feature in Confederation of Africa  (CAF) Confederations Cup.

The development comes at a time Express’ inability to play was communicated after Paidha Black Angels turned down the opportunity as well.

“The Federation gave us a short notice of less than three days to decide and take up the opportunity,” Misagga said.

“This was so abrupt. The money involved is a lot and we had not planned for it.”

Last week, Paidha Black Angels expressed the unwillingness to represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Express was then presented with the opportunity to represent the country but when the Red Eagles turned down the offer, FUFA wrote to SC Villa Jogoo and Vipers Sports Club.

Vipers remains as the club that could feature if it is officially communicated.
