FUFA procures land for expansion of offices

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has procured land measuring to 1500 square metres for expansion of their offices.

The land is adjacent the current FUFA Headquarters in Mengo, Kampala.

There are two buildings on this land that will need renovation according to the head of project, Justus Mugisha, the first vice president of the federation.

We procured space near FUFA House. It will help us create more space for the Secretariat staff. FIFA has played a key role in financing some of the Projects of its Member Associations.

We shall make use of this project to serve the football family with improved service delivery.

FUFA has also opened up new offices in Lungujja where the Special Interest Groups (SIG’s) offices are located.

The special interest groups include beach soccer and futsal, players association, referees, schools as well as women.

FUFA is eligible to FIFA funding of USD 2.25M for the 2014-2018 cycle.

The funding of this project is part of the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) Forward Programme (FFP) and is one of the 15 programmes to be funded by FIFA for the 2015-18 Cycle.
