BUL Football Club needed Douglas Owori’s late winner against visiting Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) to hand his side a win in the crucial Premier League tie.
The former Uganda Martyrs’ University Nkozi center forward composed himself to beat substitute goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga from 12 yards (10.97m).
Earlier in the first half, goalkeeper Muwanga had replaced left winger Charles Ssempa, a sacrificial lamb as a result of goalie Alionzi Nafian’s red card.
Center referee Richard Ochom sent off Alionzi following a hand ball outside the goal area after 36 minutes.
For the rest of the game, URA played with 10 men and the home side at times benefited from the numerical advantage granted.
Former league top scorer, Herman Nteza Wasswa, De Boss Kalama, the exciting midfielder Moses Sseruyidde and Godfrey Ssembatya were some of the players who made their debut at URA.
URA’s next match shall be on Tuesday, 13th February 2018 away to Express at the Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium.
