Former Arsenal star Thierry Henry has advised manager Arsene Wenger to go all guns blazing in the Europa League against Ostersund in a bid to save the club’s season.
Henry believes that winning a European trophy is Arsenal’s best way of restoring some credibility to another disappointing season.
“You still have some big teams in the Europa League, including Arsenal,” Henry said on Monday Night Football.
“They can still get the top four, but what they can achieve the most is winning the Europa League. I see that more [likely to happen] than finishing in the top four.
“Something incredible might happen, but it’s unlikely for that to happen.
“Should they focus on the Europa and let the league go? I don’t think you can do that, but you should go really strong on trying to win the Europa League.
“At the end of the day, that brings you back into the Champions League – and you are winning a trophy.”
