Arsenal keeper Petr Cech claims that the club can finish the Gunners’ poor season on a high and get back into the Champions League.
The Czech keeper extended his own Premier League clean sheet record to 200 in Sunday’s win over Watford – saving a penalty in the process.
The win came on the back of an impressive 2-0 victory over AC Milan in the Europa League.
Cech said: “Thanks to the result in Milan we are in a good position to reach the last eight of the Europa League then you carry the chance that you might qualify for the Champions League.
“When you have a run of negative results and it carried on from the Ostersund game at home and in the league.
“In between that we had the cup final and we lost, so it is very disappointing so when you go through a moment like that you need to find your way.
“We can’t say that because we won two games in a week that we are out of it because as soon as you are out you can be back in but it was a big week and a big step forward to finish the season on a high, try to win the remaining games and see how far we can get.”
