2018 Africa Cup of Nations Women Qualifier:
- First Leg: April 4 – Machakos Stadium
- Second Leg: April 8 – KCCA Stadium, Lugogo
Uganda Crested Cranes head coach Faridah Bulega has summoned 30 players in preparation for the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya.
The team started training on Tuesday morning at the outside pitch of Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
Experienced players as Ruth Aturo (goalkeeper), Hasifa Nassuna, Christine Nambirigge, Yudaya Nakayenze among others are part of the team.
Kenya will host the first leg of this two legged qualifier in Machakos on Wednesday, April 4 2018.
The return leg shall be held on Sunday, April 8 at the KCCA Stadium, Lugogo in Kampala.
Edward Kaziba is Bulega’s assistant while James Magala is the goalkeeping coach.
The 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations will be held in Ghana from November 17 to December 1 2018.
This tournament will also double as qualifiers to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The top three teams will qualify for the global tournament.
