Ndejje University edge Paidha Black Angels to edge closer to promotion | FUFA Big League

Ninety minutes with maximum points separate Ndejje University Football Club from being promoted to Uganda’s top tier league – Uganda Premier League.

Ndejje recovered from a goal down to win 2-1 against West Nile tough opposition, Paidha Black Angels in an epic Elgon group game on Thursday at their Ndejje University play ground in Luweero.

Cromwell Abang gave the visiting side – coached by celebrated coach Allan Kivewala Kabonge the lead in the opening stanza of the game.

An own goal brought the game level before Noel Nasasira, on loan from reigning premier league champions, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC scored the winning goal to send hundreds of supporters in celebrations.

Ndejje University travel to Kamuli Municipal Stadium to face Kamuli Park Football Club whilst Paidha Black Angels will be away to Jinja Municipal Council (JMC) Hippos at the Kakindu Stadium, Jinja this coming Sunday.

For starters, Ndejje University is the oldest club in the FUFA Big league.

Meanwhile, Western region side Nyamityobora Ankole United was promoted in the Rwenzori group with three games left on the fixtures.

The regular season of the FUFA Big league climaxes this Sunday.
