Ssonko to officiate Nigeria, Seychelles AFCON qualifier

Mark Ssonko has been selected by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to officiate the 2019 Afcon qualifier between Nigeria and Seychelles.

The Ugandan assistant referee will do the job along with Kenya’s top referee Davis Omweno in the centre and assistant referee Gilbert Cheruiyot as the first assistant.

Onweno was among the two arbiters suspended by Caf for three months in 2016. He was sanctioned for disallowing a legitimate goal scored by Libya in their 1-0 defeat to Tunisia.

Nigeria are bottom of the group with no point just as Seychelles while South Africa and Libya are joint top.
