Former Uganda Cranes international Manko Kaweesa is reportedly in advanced negotiations with SC Villa, according to sources.
The Former URA FC skipper has been without a club for the last two years since parting ways with Lweza FC at the end of 2016/7 season.
His proposed move to Ethiopia for semi-professional football fell through because of reasons best known to him.
He tried out his luck with DR Congo’s topflight side DC Bukavu Dawa but it is reported that both parties failed to agree on a deal.
But the Former SC Victoria University and Nateete Sports FC midfielder seems to have found suitors in the 16-time League winners.
He has been among the high-profile names who have been training with a new-look SC Villa under new Coach Moses Basena.
It is reported that although Basena concedes that the player is in the evenings of his career and his good playing days are past him, the former takes the player in high regard because of his invaluable experience and talent, and has sold the idea of acquiring the player’s services to his bosses.
Mike Seramaga, Yusuf Mukisa and Savio Kabungo are the other big names expected to join SC Villa ahead of the new season.
