Bright Stars FC skipper Bernard Muwanga won’t be crossing to KCC FC at least for now. The inspiration centre back who has been with the Kawempe based side for his entire career to date was near to switching allegiance to the 2013/14 league champions last week but things have turned around.

Muwanga who spent part of the previous week training with the Kasasiro is currently back at Bright Stars and took part in the team’s session on Monday.

A Bright Stars official who preferred anonymity was however bitter with KCC FC for taking up the player on trials yet he was just recovering from injury.

“First of all, we weren’t happy with how KCC FC treated our player,” a source said. “He wasn’t accorded the respect he deserves but the good thing is that he is back at the club and training with us,” he added.

Inside sources at KCC FC reveal that one of two coaches wasn’t happy with Muwanga’s pending move after the club had spent money on defenders Martin Mpuuga, Hassan Dazo Wasswa and Farouk Matovu among others.

Whether the deal is completely off or not remains unknown but we’ll keep you posted.
