Uganda Premier league side, Simba Sports Club has completed the signing of former Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU), Morley Byekwaso.

Byekwaso is now the head tactician at the army team, after their former coach left for Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club.

He was officially unveiled at the club’s home venue, at the Bombo military stadium. Byekwaso’s move follows a long trek of playing and technical staff from SCVU citing different reasons.

The former Uganda Cranes Kampala City Council (KCC) holding midfielder was officially introduced before the club players and other technical officials this week and he starts work immediately after agreeing a three year deal.

“I want to maintain the club’s status quo and remain the giant killers,” Byekwaso promised.

To win the job, Byekwaso beat off a strong competition from seasoned coaches including Uganda Kobs’ assistant coach, Frank ‘Video’ Anyau, who has openly expressed interest for the job.

Other Coaches on the Move: Byekwaso joins the class of new tacticians at the various Uganda Premier League clubs. Lweza confirmed the captured of former BUL football club head coach, Joseph Mutyaba.

Alex Isabirye left URA F.C and he is now at Jinja side, Bul football club.

Debutants, The Saints unveiled Uganda Sand Cranes head coach, Harunah Kebba. Moses Basena joined URA F.C from Simba sports Club.

SC Villa brought in Spaniard, Antonio Flores, Soana F.C brought in Charles Ayiekho as Kampala City Council replaced Abdullah Mubiru with the Balangira duo of Sam Ssimbwa and Mike Mutebi.

The new domestic season kicks off on 14th August 2015 with the Super Cup between league champions, Vipers Sports Club and Uganda Cup winners, Sports Club Villa.

The league is expected to start a week later on 21st August 2015.
