Uganda Cranes and Orlando Pirates attacking midfielder Yassar Mugerwa joined the rest of the club teammates for the pre-season training on Monday in Johannesburg.

Mugerwa had been on holiday like the rest of the other players returned to South Africa after a brief holiday in Uganda.

Orlando Pirates football club tweeted of the official training session;

New Turkish coach, Muhsin Ertugral commenced work immediately with theory and practical sessions.


Mugerwa is determined to work for a slot in the starting line up after an average debut season

He is among the few Ugandans who play in South Africa.

Others are Geofrey Massa (Bloemfontein Celtics), Dennis Onyango (Mamelodi Sundowns) and Chrizestom Ntambi (Vasco Da Gama).
