Lweza 0-1 KCCA

Striker Geoffrey Sserunkuma scored his second Uganda Premier League goal for KCCA FC as the champions registered their first win against Lweza in a match played at the Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku on Tuesday.

Like it was against JMC in the opener last week, still left back Joseph Ochaya offered the cross for Sserunkuma to head past the goalkeeper Brian Bwete.

KCCA played the last 20 minutes with nine men after Isaac Muleme was stretchered off with a back injury and all the changes had been effected.

KCCA asceded to the top of the table with six points.

The league takes a fortnight break to create room and space for the Uganda Cranes preparations leading to the Kenya and Comoros engagements in the international friendly and AFCON 2017 qualifier respectively.

In the next game, KCCA will host Soana on 6th September 2016 at the Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo.

Soana is now coached by Sam Ssimbwa and won their first league game on Tuesday after overcoming The Saints 3-1 at Kavumba Recreational Stadium.
