Uganda Cranes midfielder Tonny Mawejje completed a move to Albanian side KF Tirana.
Mawejje signed a two-year deal with arguably the biggest club in the country that will keep him at the club until 2019 with an option to renew.
The financial details of the deal are unkwon but in an interview early this month, Mawejje revealed he was excited about the KF Tirana project despite several offers coming his way.
“There have been many offers coming my way but after talking to Hector, I opted to join KF Tirana so that I can be part of the big project,” he said.
“It’s not about the money but the future of the club looks bright. It’s a big club with a lot of history and has always aimed at better performance in Europe as well.”
Mawejje flew to Albania over the weekend to complete the move to the club where he joins compatriot Yunus Ssentamu.
KF Tirana is coached by former Brazilian international and Gor Mahia Coach, Ze Maria.
