Uganda Cranes skipper Denis Onyango believes the national team ended their World Cup qualification journey with respect despite failing to make the finals.
The star lauded his teammates for reputation augmented in a tweet after a one-all draw with Congo on Sunday.
“Great fight from the boys ending the campaign with respect despite not qualifying,” he posted.
Uganda needed a goal from Milton Karisa in the 10th minute, just 60 seconds after the hosts had taken the lead through Marvin Baudry.

The Cranes finished second on the group E log with 9 points, 4 behind the group winners Egypt. Ghana Black Stars ended third with 8 points and Congo ended the campaign with two points.
