Uganda Cranes midfielder Hassan Wasswa has tipped home-based players to shine in both CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup and CHAN after an impressive show in Congo.
Wasswa who plies his trade in Egypt witnessed the boys pt in a great shift – the national team drawing 1-1 – a feat that brought smiles on his face.
“We played as a team and as players, we are happy with the result we got,” said Wasswa.
“Overall, it’s not disaster to finish second in the group. Now we are back at club and the focus shifts to next game in March,” he added.
However, our local based players are now focusing on CHAN and CECAFA. Actually, the local based players showed they can play and wish them all the best in CHAN and am confident they will do well in CHAN.
