Manchester United have completed the signing of France Under-17 player Aliou Traore.
The side has been chasing this player for quite a while and have been tracking him for over nine months.
Traore, 16, made his debut for the club’s Under-18s in a 3-2 defeat by Wolves on Saturday.
They have now moved to tie him down to a deal, after Traore initially linked up with United in February, playing as a trialist in an Under-17 win over Burnley.
“Traore is a boy we’ve been looking at for a while,” declared Under-18s coach Kieran McKenna, speaking to MUTV.
“He is a really powerful midfielder who likes to run box to box. He is very strong technically and is improving all the time.
“He’s a nice man and his English is improving. He’s settling in well with the boys and has taken to the club really well.”
The midfielder, who turns 17 in January, will be eligible for the club’s FA Youth Cup campaign, which kicks off against Derby on December 13.
