KCCA FC forward Tito Okello has gone AWOL (away without official leave) less than a month after joining the club.

The centre forward, signed from Tanzania’s Mbeya City has been one of the best performers at Lugogo scoring six goals in the first half of the season.

Okello has since not returned to training ahead of the second round with Coach Mike Mutebi.

“He hasn’t come back again,” confirmed Mutebi. “There were reports of a move to Malaysia and like many Ugandan players, he just vanished,” he added.

It’s sad but that’s the nature of the players we have. His close relative is the one that disclosed to me his intentions to flee.

If he leaves for good, he will join a host of players that have quit the club in the window who include among others Allan Kateregga.

The club last week confirmed release of Abdallah Muhammad, Samuel Ssekamatte Kayongo and Allan Oryek.
