Hull City coach Nigel Adkins heaped praise on Gor Mahia and the atmosphere at the Kasarani as his side overcame the home outfit on penalties.
The Tigers won 4-3 on penalties following a goalless draw at a fully packed Moi International stadium on Sunday and their coach couldn’t hide his excitement.
“What a great experience! 60000 fans in the stadium!,” exclaimed Adkins as quoted by Michezoafrika. “What a sports atmosphere! A great great thank you,” he added before admitting the weather was a little harsh on the England Championship side and praised Gor Mahia team.
“The weather was a bit hard on us but what a great game of football. It was so friendly, great collaboration It was a great show from both set of players. They have done themselves proud. Dylan has a great side here.”
Ugandan international Godfrey Walusimbi featured in the game.
It’s the third time the Kenyan giants faced a side from England – Norwich City (in the 80s), Everton and now Hull City.
