Uganda Premier League Final Day Result
Proline 1-2 URA | Daniel Opolot Isiagi 40’, Shafiq Kagimu 64’, Ronald Kigongo 86’
Proline FC suffered relegation to the second division after their 1-2 loss to Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) FC on the final day of the Uganda Premier League 2017/2018 season.
The taxmen needed two second-half goals from Shafiq Kagimu and Ronald Kigongo to claim bragging rights as they sent their rivals to the seconf tier.
Daniel Isiagi’s opener in the 4oth minute was all Mujib Kasule’s side could manage as they failed to find the equalizer till the final whistle.
Isiagi capitalized on Muwanga Mathias’ howler in the area after a hot cross off Isaac Owori on the right.
The tall lanky striker scrambled home after Mathias failed to find grip on the ball.
Proline’s Ronald Musana saw yellow for an open studs challenge on URA’s Allan Munaaba.
URA tactician Sam Ssimbwa made changes thereafter taking off Ronald Musana and Isaac Owori for David Owri and Joshua Okiror.
Ronald Kigongo later netted URA’s equalizer in the 65th minute thanks to his beautiful shot from the edge of the box after Proline goalie Nasser Lwamunda had moved off his line to punch away.
Kagimu sealed the result in with four minutes to go when he netted URA’s second after beautiful passes in the area.
Proline complete the season second from bottom in 15th position with 28 points from 30 matches while URA finish 9th with 37 points.
