KCCA FC Head Coach Mike Mutebi has revealed his side is gunning for top honours at the 3rd edition of Philip Omondi invitational tournament that kicks off at the StarTimes Stadium on Friday 14th.
The Kasasiro boys haven’t fared well at their own tournament making two third place finishes in the past two editions.
And the soft-spoken tactician has reckoned that his side are not resting on their laurels. “We shall take the tournament seriously as the games we play on the continent. Whether it is a friendly or Practice match the element of winning or taking everything serious and thinking big has to always be there.”
“I have 27 players and I will select from those to represent the club, I don’t have the first team and second team, all my players are almost on the same level.”
Mutebi has cautioned that they invited experienced and strong opponents.
“We did not call weak teams and no team is weak and when you look at players from Wakiso Giants they have been competing in Ugandan topflight division for years.
“The same applies to Nyamityobora they also have players who have always been there and so they are a strong side.” Proline is good at building it’s players but they have also been there for almost five years.”
“Their is no difference between the clubs since Ugandan players are the same maybe the difference is we are KCCA FC.”
