Simone Zaza hopes today’s winner against Chievo can kick-start his Torino career with “very demanding” Coach Walter Mazzarri.
The former Juventus, Sassuolo, West Ham United and Valencia forward was a transfer deadline day signing by Toro and came off the bench to score the late decider at the Bentegodi.
“I am happy to have broken the ice, as it’s important for a forward to score goals,” Zaza told Sky Sport Italia.
“I had some difficulties, but that’s natural in a new environment with a new Coach who is very demanding. I see this as a starting point.
“I heard so much talk in the media about which forwards can play together, but the Coach knows what he’s doing and quality can always find a way to play together.”
