The diminutive Onduparaka FC attacker was the driving force behind Buganda province’s rise to prominence as they beat West Nile to win the inaugural provincial tournament.

His awe- inspiring performances became more conspicuous in the two legged final that culminated into Buganda’s success.

He scored the solitary winner as Alex Isabirye’side edged their West Nile counterparts in the first leg in Mukono last weekend, and struck the leveller in the return leg as his side was trailing West Nile 1-0 at Green Light Stadium to steer Buganda to a 2-1 aggregate victory.

The two impressive performances won Sekajugo two consecutive Man of the match awards that preceded two other honors to culminate into Four man of the match performances for the entire tournament.

His exceptional showings deservedly won win the MVP gong, a feat that left him Sekajugo 1M richer, the stipulated cash prize money for that honor.

Bugisu’s James Alitho, a designated goalkeeper by trade exhibited his other side as he swapped Goal keeping for goal scoring duties. He scored eight goals to take home the Top scorer gong.

Champions Buganda bagged 30M while runners up West Nile walked away with 15M.

Winning coach Alex Isabirye Musongola was named coach of the tournament and walked away with 1M as well.
