Wakiso Giants coach Ibrahim Kirya is over the moon following his side’s 2018-9 FUFA Big league maiden victory.
The new boys on the spending blocks thrashed Kataka FC 3-1 at their home in Bugembe to arrest their two game winless run – albeit they did it in emphatic fashion.
A stunner from Hassan Wasswa Dazo and a goal each from skipper Feni Ali and second half substitute Ivan Kiweewa provoked praise form head coach Ibrahim kirya to his team.
“It was very important to win the game after two draws,” he said. “The boys played well especially after going up and that was great,” he added before saying the win was special since it was achieved at Bugembe.
“What made it even more special is that, I got it from a ground where (Bugembe) I started my footballing journey, it’s a great honour.”
The Purple Sharks drew 2-2 with Amuka Bright Stars before playing to a 1-1 draw aganist JMC in their second were Kirya’s side had a goal controversially ruled out.
They travel to Bukedea for their fourth game of the season on Thursday November 22.
