Uganda rises in November 2018 FIFA Ranking


Uganda Cranes has improved by four places as per the latest Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) for the month of November 2018.

According to the rankings released on Thursday, November 29, 2018, Uganda has risen to 75th with 1320 points, just below Syria (74th).

South Africa and Uganda Cranes’ immediate past opponents in the AFCON 2019 qualifiers Cape Verde share the 72nd position with an identical 1325 points.

Cape Verde,
who lost 1-0 to Uganda in Kampala fall four places.

Kenya remains on 105th position with 1210 points as Sudan improves by 8 places to 127th (1120 points).

Rwanda stays on 137th placing with 1094 points and Tanzania drops two places to 138th (1087 points).

The top five countries remain unchanged from last month’s rankings.

Leaders Belgium, France, Brazil, Croatia and England occupy the best five countries respectively.

Argentina squeezes
to the top 10 at the expense of Colombia.

Senegal (23rd) is the best ranked African country with 1505 points,

They are followed by Tunisia (26th), Morocco (40th), Nigeria (44th)and Democratic Republic of Congo (49th) in the top 50 footballing countries.
