Caf Champions League, Preliminary Round 2 leg
Vipers Vs El Merriekh – St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende 4pm [El Merriekh lead 2-1 from the 1 leg]
Vipers SC are certain any win of desired margin will be enough for them to eliminate El Merriekh in the Caf Champions league preliminary round second leg.
The two sides renew acquaintances in the return leg of the two legged encounter at St. Mary’s Kitende, with the Sudanese giants boasting 2-1 victory from the first leg in played in Khartoum last week.
And as the score line in the first leg reads, the Venoms’ away goal, scored by Daniel Sserunkuma, left them firmly in contention head of the return leg.
A 1-0 result will be enough to see Vipers progress and in the same process, edge closer to the lucrative group stages of Caf champions league.
Javier Martinez Espinoza feels his charges are ready to clinch victory although he envisions a very tough match.

“It will be a tough match tomorrow,” said Espinoza. “We are ready for kick off and my players are ready and raring to go,” he added.
“It’s a different match, different environment and for us to go through we must be aggressive and offensive too so expect a change in approach.
Vipers will be boosted by the return of Davis Kasirye and Steven Mukwala who have been nursing varying injuries.
First choice goalie Fabien Mutombora is out of the game due to injury and his understudy Ibra Ssekagya expected to keep his slot in the starting line-up.
Espinoza may be forced to start with Daniel Sserunkuma up front instead of Tito Okello who started in Khartoum but was largely ineffectual.
Moses Waiswa, and Taddeo Lwanga are expected to put on their game faces if Vipers are to pick the required result.
For El Meleag, they key players are forward Bakri Almadina and defender cum midfielder Amil Kamal .
If Vipers build on their one goal advantage and navigate past El Merrickh, the Venoms will then qualify to the final round (first round) to take on either CS Constantine from Algeria or Gambian Gamtel FC.
