SC Villa’s mini-resurgence or- lack of it will be checked as they host Maroons at Mandela National stadium in the only game line-up for match-day ten on Thursday.

Vipers SC’s home game against Police FC was supposed to be the other fixture but it was postponed due to the Venoms’ CAF Champions league engagements.

The Jogoos, under the stewardship of new coach Douglas Bamweyana, picked their first victory of the season with a 1-0 victory over Nyamityobora FC last week and hope the victory can be the stepping stone to turn around third appalling start to the new season.

“We got our first win of the season and we don’t want to look back.” Veteran Marco Kaweesa, who didn’t make match day squad last time out told Airtel Football.

“The new coach has refreshed the squad with new tactics and I think we shall be able to over come Maroons,” the Former URA FC skipper added.

Bamweyana’s first game saw him ring changes with the pair Manco Kaweesa and Habib Kavuma, who were Basena’s trusted lieutenants, dropped for Edgar Luzige and Yusuf Mukisa respectively.

Samuel Kivumbi is expected to take goal keeping duties with Yusuf Wasswa and Brian Bwete out injured.

Joseph Ssemujju, Bahir Mutanda and Pius Wangi will lead the hunt for goals upfront.

Maroons, who have also found the post Asaph Mwebaze era horrible, will bank on Solomon Walusmbi and Rashid Agau upfront as they search for their second victory of the season.

Experienced stalwarts Herman Wasswa and Brian Majwega will also need to rise to the occasion as the Luzira based side target Villa’s scalp.
