Abraham Ndugwa says he is pleased his team won the game despite the fact that he scored it.

The former captain at Masavu FC (now Entebbe) found the back of the net that booked Vipers SC a place in the first round of the CAF Champions League.

“The most important thing is the team won,” said Ndugwa in a post-match press conference.

Of course the goal gives me confidence but I’m happier because the team won.

Vipers SC was dominated for large parts of the game and despite progression, the performance was questionable but Ndugwa says the team had a strategy to score early.

“We had a strategy of scoring in the opening 20 minutes, and then after it failed, we chose our moments.
