Former Vipers coach Golola takes over FUFA Big League club


Edward Golola is the new head coach at FUFA Big League side, Kitara Football Club until the end of the season.

The Hoima based club has been without a head coach since the disappearance act of Samuel Kawalya who absconded from duty after just two matches into the season.

Golola was a long serving coach at Vipers Sports Club and had been job-less for more than seven months now.

He takes over the job that that has been occupied by Doka Magara, Kawalya’s former assistant coach.

The development was confirmed to Airtel Football on Sunday by the club Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Joshua “Taata Angels” Atugonza.

Yes, we have hired Edward Golola as head coach for Kitara Football Club until the end of the season. The primary goal to see the club promoted to the Uganda Premier League. We have trust and confidence in the coach for his experience.

Golola officially started off work on Sunday with a training session with a training session at the Boma play ground in Hoima Municipality on Sunday.
