Kenyan Premier League Champions Gor Mahia have acquired the services of Denis Oliech on a two year contract , the club confirmed on Wednesday.
“Gor Mahia have today signed striker Denis Oliech. The striker penned down a deal that will see him being part of the club for two seasons,” read a statement on the club’s official website.
The former Nantes and Auxerre forward, who joins as a free agent becomes the most expensive player in Kenyan football as he to get a Whooping USD 3,000 in monthly remunerations.
The 33-Year-old, who has been out of active football since his botched move to join Free State Stars in South Africa last year, will also pocket USD 35,000 in sign on fees to be paid in two installments.
The Ex-Harambe Stars Captain is expected to be unveiled on January 9 in Kisumu when Gor Mahia take-on Posta Rangers.
Oliech has trained with the side for the last one week and last week disclosed that he was joining the seventeen time Kenyan Champions to fulfil the wishes of his late mother.
“My mother always wanted me to play for Gor Mahia and she told me before I retire officially from football, I have to play for this club,” Oliech told Capital FM Kenya.
