There will be free entrance when a select team of footballer-turned-musician Eddie Kenzo faces-off against the FUFA President’s XI in an exhibition match at Star Times Stadium Lugogo on Friday morning.

The charity match that is highly-billed by the presence of two-time African Footballer of the year El Hadji Diouf, who will feature on Kenzo’s select side, is a side show event to the run-up of Eddie Kenzo’s music concert named “ 10 years of Eddy Kenzo.”

The highly anticipated show that will see Kenzo celebrating ten years of his musical journey is proudly sponsored by telecom giants Airtel.

Fred Katende Malibu, a member on the organizing team revealed, “It is free entrance. Eddie Kenzo is paying back to many of his fans as the year kicks off in style. Also, fans will be eager to watch the two time African footballer of the year facing the FUFA President and many of Uganda’s finest players”.

Kenzo’s team will consist of high profile names such as Brian Umony, Willy Kyambadde, Farouk Miya, Tonny Mawejje, David Obua, Geofrey ‘Baba’ Kizito, Yunus Sentamu, William Luwagga Kizito, a couple of Wakiso Giants players and the two men of the moment – Kenzo and El Hadji Diouf.

The FUFA President’s XI that will be led by Moses Magogo is composed of former Uganda Cranes players led by the FUFA CEO Edgar Watson Suubi, Hakim Boda-Boda” Magumba, Alex ‘Trezquet’ Isabirye, Edward Kalungi, Paul Mukatabala, Hassan ‘Figo Ow’emmamba’ Mubiru, Fred Tamale, Lawrence Kizito and goalkeeper Sadiq Wassa among others.

Diouf , who names Liverpool FC and Sunderland as his former employers will grace the concert that will take place at Serena Hotel on Friday night.

The former Senegalese player, who shot to stardom during the 2002 World Cup, is expected to jet in on Thursday.
