First meets second in top of the table clash as Wakiso Giants host Dove All Stars at Bugembe Stadium in Jinja on Thursday.

The highly anticipated encounter will climax the first round fixtures for both sides in the Elgon group.

The purple Sharks, still unbeaten in the Big League (both Elgon and Rwenzori groups) will be targeting maximum points to add on their 19 points and consolidate their top spot status.

They have recorded five wins and four draws from nine games played thus far.

They are coming off a professional 2-1 away victory over Entebbe FC while Anthony Bongole’s Dove All Stars beat Kyetume 2-1 on the road to climb to second spot.

Godfrey Ssekyewa, Edema and Aniku are key pillars for Doves All Stars who seek to join Onduparaka and Paidha Black Angels in the top tier league next season.

UPDF will host Nebbi Central at Bombo Barracks play ground. Both sides lost their previous encounters to Light SS and Kyetume respectively.

Bukedea Town Council will host Amuka Bright Stars at Emokori Play ground. The former lost 3-1 to Nebbi Central last Thursday while Amuka beat Kataka FC.

Kyetume will host wounded Entebbe FC in Mukono.

Meanwhile, in the Rwenzori group also has enticing fixtures on the cards.

Table leaders Proline play host to Kabale Sharp at Lugogo as joint leaders.

Kiboga Young is away to Kira United at Namboole.

Both Proline and Kiboga Young have boast 20 points from 9 matches.

In their immediate past game, Proline was held by Kansai Plascon to a one all draw in Mukono while Kiboga Young fall 1-0 at home to Mark Twinamatisko’s Dove in Kiboga.

Other Rwenzori group games will see Water play Bumate United at Wankulukuku and Dove host Kansai Plascon at the Katushabe Play ground in Masindi.

But first, this Wednesday, Kitara United plays coach-less Kitara at Namboole Stadium.

Kitara lost their interim coach Edward Golola to top tier side Vipers.

In total, three clubs will be elevated from the FUFA Big league to the Uganda Premier League by May 2019 Thursday, 10th January 2019:
