Former Uganda Cranes coach Milutin Micho Sredojević has likened Denis Onyango’s career to a Hollywood film that is unfolding after the Mamelodi Sundowns star made the 2018 CAF Awards Africa Best XI.
Micho was at the helm when Onyango hit an all time high of his career with the national team.
The tactician, now coach of Orlando Pirates expressed his delight at Onyango’s achievements, narrating how his team scouted the player back at Uganda Premier League club – Sports Club Villa.
In 2003 at Villa park training ground we brought young school boy with poisonous smile (sic) & serious ambition to excel as goalkeeper (sic) & human being than passing trough bumpy road of Hollywood film look like career (sic) he conquered African football becoming walking legend.
